What you need to do when seeking treatment in Malaysia
Most visitors do not require a visa to enter Malaysia if the period is less than one month and the purpose of the visit is business or social. For those staying in the country longer or need to apply for visa, the process is fast and reliable.
If you are a visitor in Malaysia receiving treatment at any private hospital within the country, you are entitled to a six-month visa. You can also enjoy a Multiple Entry Visa (MEV), which allows you to enter and exit the country as many times as necessary throughout the duration of your visa's validity. To be eligible for these benefits, you must obtain a letter from the hospital you will be receiving treatment at, stating the details, date and duration of your procedure. This letter should then be presented to Malaysia's immigration officers.
